Clean air is a right, not a privilege

More than 100k people in punjab don't
even know how high AQI is destroying their lungs.

We asked the state board and conducted multiple interviews to find out how many people even know what AQI is and how it is silently damaging their lungs. The results show that only around 21.8% of people understand the causes and risks associated with high AQI.

Our mission is to educate as many people as possible about AQI and the pollution caused by stubble burning that is damaging their lungs, and to provide air purifiers until the root problem is addressed.

Average AQI in Punjab this month is as harmful as smoking 9.6 cigarettes per day.

AQI in Punjab has been increasing by around 2% every year, with a sharper rise of 5% in 2023 and 7% in 2024, and it is projected to exceed 8% this year.

Our mission is to decrease this number, spread awareness and protect the people from the causes and danger of high AQI.

Q&A

What does this nonprofit actually do?

We focus on improving air-quality awareness in Punjab by educating families about AQI, pollution from stubble burning, and its long-term health effects. We also provide affordable or donated air purifiers to households that cannot protect themselves from high pollution levels.

How do you select families to receive air purifiers?

We prioritize low-income households, especially those with children, elderly members, or people suffering from respiratory illnesses. Families are identified through local surveys, school networks, and community referrals.

How can people support the mission?

Supporters can help by spreading awareness about AQI, donating funds or purifier components, volunteering for outreach events, or assisting with local data collection. Even sharing accurate information about air pollution helps protect vulnerable communities.
